Database Mirroring Service
Create a read-only copy of your database to use additional reporting tools of your choice.
About this app
Tools for reporting, pattern recognition, trend processing, aggregation and another data-heavy usage, require different and more immediate access to your data than what is available through our regular online web service APIs. Standard apps in the App Store that offer dashboards, reports, and business intelligence capabilities, use this mirroring capability combined with their own offering.
If you want to use reporting tools other than those available in the App Store, or even in addition to these, you can do so by subscribing to the Database Mirroring Service here.
The Database Mirroring Service creates a read-only copy of your database and lets you store this at a chosen address/location where you can get easy access to it. The Database Mirroring Service will also keep this database continuously updated by submitting incremental changes in a predefined time interval (approx. every 20 minutes as of September 2019).
The mirror is a read-only copy designed for this purpose (it cannot be used to run local SuperOffice clients or act as an offline version of your installation).
Subscribing to Database Mirroring Service lets you create as many copies of your database as you require if you should need more than one copy of your database. The copy of your database resides at a location chosen and managed by you or your partner on your behalf.
To activate additional mirrors for your database, create new mirroring apps in the developer portal.
Key features
- The mirror is updated at 20 minutes intervals (depending on other tasks running on your tenant in CRM Online).
- Tables containing sensitive data are not mirrored.
- Resides in whatever environment you choose to use (approved by the customer).
- Is managed by you directly or via the partner you collaborate with in the developer portal.
- With the mirror, you can install stored procedures, indexes, run queries, and similar with the BI tools of your choice.

Price information
The following price is per month and based on a yearly subscription:
SITE
- € 79,79 per site per month.
In addition to the EURO, prices are available in NOK, SEK, DKK, GBP, and CHF.
By submitting the order form from the App Store, you are in effect ordering this subscription.
This add-on will be added to your current subscription plan and invoiced by your local SuperOffice company. You may also contact your local SuperOffice sales contact to order your subscription for this add-on service. Once you are subscribing to Database Mirroring Service, you can request as many copies as you require at no additional cost. You will get a login to dev.superoffice.com when you submit this request as well.

Getting started
- Click the green button to get started.
- Complete the form to confirm your order of the subscription.
- Create the database mirroring app in our developer portal and request publish to production.
- Receive the copy and begin to use as you require.
System Requirements
- Local or hosted Microsoft SQL Server environment.
- You must have an accessible web service that implements the IMirroringClientService contract and is available for receiving the initial database mirror and subsequent updates.
- We provide a working and compiled Microsoft SQL server example of the web service, and the documentation that thoroughly covers the capabilities and limitations of Database Mirroring. This is just an example for your convenience and not a supported product.
- The database for our example must be Microsoft SQL Server. The license for this database is not included in the service as provided from SuperOffice. A separate license is required.
- Our working example is available as a NuGet package and provided to help you get started (see the documentation link above). Note that our Database Mirroring package on NuGet.org includes performance tracking code. This collection of performance data does not contain any information about the customer or data in the database. It only tracks how long each replication action takes. The performance data is sent back to SuperOffice only to help us make future improvements.
